Doc at The White House Below is an excerpt from a newspaper article. "When asked if he played at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., he claims he thought declining would make for better "press".  "They called me in the early 80s to do the Annual Easter Egg Roll, and I asked what it paid...When they told me it was a 'freebie', I explained that I thought that was rather unfair.  I told them when the President wants to work for ME for free, I will return the favor.  They hung up on me.  I guess he wasn't interested".
